The Graveyard Rabbit of Utrecht and Het Gooi Subscribe to this feed

Filed under: Cemeteries | Locality Specific

This blog is a requirement for membership of the Association of Graveyard Rabbits. Members will investigate "the historical importance of cemeteries, grave markers, and the family history to be learned from a study of burial customs, burying grounds, and tombstones", each in his own region. The region I will cover is the geographical heart of The Netherlands: the province Utrecht and neighbouring region Het Gooi.

The Graveyard Rabbit Student! Subscribe to this feed

As a member of the Association of Graveyard Rabbits, this blog is devoted to promoting cemeteries and their preservation, burial customs and traditions, transcribing tombstones, and the general study of cemeteries. I believe that cemeteries are an important part of our history and genealogy. By studying these cemeteries, we can better understand our ancestors and their cultures and lives. By preserving these cemeteries, we are giving future generations a chance to learn about the past.

The Hodder Collection No feed available

Filed under: Personal Research | Australia & New Zealand | Single Surname

The idea for the Hodder History blog came about after scouring many, many web sites that had the information I needed but at an enormous yearly subscription cost when tallied up together. A bit here a bit there anyway I decided that as I have 20 years of my own Hodder information, death certificates from Utah & Aust, marriage certificates from Australia, photos, stories etc, etc, and had saved all my bookmarks on any Hodder I found on the www that it would be a service to genealogists throughout the world to share this research information especially those searching for Hodder connections. Then I took it one step further and thought how neat it would be if the links took you directly to the Hodder surname. So much time is wasted sifting through the irrelevant stuff. Hence the hodderhistory.blogspot.com blog was born and a new world opened up!
