The Bird family came from Birmingham, England in the mid 1800's and settled in the small town of Springville, Utah the year after it was founded by a group of eight (8) pioneer families on assignment from Brigham Young. The Bird family (Walter Bird being the primary ancestor) has lived in Springville, or at least a part of the family, since that time.
