Posts on this blog are from a diary kept between January 1942 and December 1946. The author was a fine Christian lady. She demonstrated devotion daily through her work in her church, family, and community. To the best of my knowledge she never had a "paying" job. The plan is to post a month each Friday.

African-American History & Genealogy in Nashville, Tennessee

I live in Nashville, TN and will use this site as a way to post information that I find and collect regarding blacks associated with the city. Most of the content is likely to come from the Nashville Globe, a black newspaper that was published here in Nashville in the first half of the 1900s.
