Retracing the Grove Westward MigrationFiled under: Personal Research | Photography After 35 years of researching my Grove surname I embarked on a 3 week 4,281 mile road trip visiting places my ancestors lived as they migrated west. Beginning in Martinsburg, WV where my great great grandparents married in 1846 and ending in Peck, KS at the 1967 grave of their grandson, my grandfather. Along the way I visited gravesites of 7 generations of Grove's as well as courthouses, museums and historical societies collecting pictures of their likely route west. http://rootiment.blogspot.com/ - last updated 7 Mar 2019 |
