![]() | The Paddick One-Name Study Filed under: Single Surname | International All my life I have been asked the question, 'Are you related to Hugh Paddick?' And all my life I have been forced to reply, 'I don't know.' And despite asertions from my father's cousin that he's closely related I have still to prove it on paper! I began my one-name study as an extension of my family tree in 1996 in order to answer that question and to find more information about my own family. I am still in the process of building my information - I keep finding new things to look at to find Paddicks! http://paddickons.livejournal.com/ - last updated 27 Oct 2006 |

![]() | McCadden's of Donegal Filed under: Personal Research | International I have wandered around the roots & branches of my family tree for quite some time now. The result has been boxes full of notes, photos, etc. I have tried to arrange and put it into some sort of shape. And then to share with other family members the results. And so this is an experiment, to see if I can use the site to gather the notes, maybe organise them a little, share them with family. That sort of thing. http://mccadden.blogspot.com/ - last updated 29 Aug 2006 |

![]() | Jane's Roots Filed under: Personal Research | International Jane's personal family history. All her ancestors were from central and southern England (Mercia and Wessex). A working class and lower middle class family. The most interesting ancestors were a Rifleman and the Battle of Waterloo, and his wife who was a field nurse at the battle, plus their daughter who assisted her mother though only five and then lived to be 94, and the last living British survivor of the battle. The next most interesting person in the family tree was a librarian. http://janesroots.shawwebspace.ca/blog/ |
