Jane's RootsFiled under: Personal Research | International Jane's personal family history. All her ancestors were from central and southern England (Mercia and Wessex). A working class and lower middle class family. The most interesting ancestors were a Rifleman and the Battle of Waterloo, and his wife who was a field nurse at the battle, plus their daughter who assisted her mother though only five and then lived to be 94, and the last living British survivor of the battle.
