Cemeteries with Texas TiesFiled under: Cemeteries | Locality Specific At Cemeteries with Texas Ties I will depict small country cemeteries in North Texas with occasional posts about larger, city cemeteries found wherever my travels take me in my home state of Texas. My focus will be photographs of these cemeteries and the area surrounding them, pictures of unusual gravestones and the not-so-unusual, and the information transcribed on them. I will also write an occasional story about some of the individuals buried there. If you have an ancestor buried in one of these old cemeteries, I would be more than happy to publish your photos and information about that individual, citing you as the source, in the hopes that you may connect with a distant relative. Your comments and suggestions will always be welcome. http://cemeterieswithtexasties.blogspot.com/ - last updated 17 Oct 2010 |

Graveyard Rabbit of Moultrie CreekFiled under: Cemeteries | Locality Specific The Moultrie Creek site of the Association of Graveyard Rabbits includes some of the earliest European graveyards in the United States. Our location on Florida's First Coast provides access to the nation's oldest city - St. Augustine - and almost 450 years of European history beginning with the Spanish settlement in 1565. Through the centuries, this area has been governed by the French, Spanish, English, Confederates and Americans. http://moultriecreek.us/rabbit/ - last updated 4 May 2010 |
Grenada GenealogyI wasn't born in Grenada. My mother had that privilege, but I feel quite linked to the people and places, even more so now that I've started doing genealogical research. This blog is an attempt to share what I've found and hopefully make even more connections. My research so far, has focused on St. George's Parish and in particular, St. Paul's District within it, where my family settled. I also look at St. David's Parish, close to the St. Paul's/St. George's line. http://grenadiangirl.wordpress.com/ - last updated 20 Apr 2010 |

The Graveyard Rabbit Student!Filed under: Cemeteries As a member of the Association of Graveyard Rabbits, this blog is devoted to promoting cemeteries and their preservation, burial customs and traditions, transcribing tombstones, and the general study of cemeteries. I believe that cemeteries are an important part of our history and genealogy. By studying these cemeteries, we can better understand our ancestors and their cultures and lives. By preserving these cemeteries, we are giving future generations a chance to learn about the past. http://elysesgyrb.blogspot.com/ - last updated 9 Feb 2010 |
